There is no doubt in our mind that we have both suffered at the hands of the so called "warlords" of Mao. It is to this effect that I wish to call upon you you to help us create a permanent solution to this threat to our respective sovereignty. If you are willing to aid us in this noble endeavor please send an emissary so we may form a concrete plan of action.

The response from the State of Jun would be a slow and measured one as the Prince and his advisors mulled the invitation from the Emperor, it was one that was treated with as much suspicoun as the Mao Warlord's. Everyone knew of the Emperor's expansionist policies in regards to its neighbors.

However, it was Jao's personal vendetta against the Mao Warlord's that finally tipped the scales and thus Foreign Minister Yang was dispatched to the Demuonese capital to discuss plans for the possible two pronged invasion and wrest whatever concessions from the Emperor that he could. After all, if they were coming to the State of Jun it meant that they couldn't attack the Mao Warlord's alone. Not without the Prince's help and that price would be costly. The Foreign Minister would request an audience with the Emperor and wait to hear his proposal.

The request for an audience was answered three days after it was received. A date was given and an escort sent to provide guarantied protection on his journey to the capital. The foreign minister has given quarters in the palace upon his arrival. Finally on the day of their audience he was escorted to the thrown room to meet with the emperor.

Jao was optimistic when finally granted this audience, as was custom prostrating himself before the throne in submission before dusting himself off. A slow smile gracing those wicked features as he once more bowed his head before taking another few steps towards the throne.

'' Imperial Highness, I bring greetings from the Prince of Jun. I shall jump right to the heart of the matter, your message mentioned the possibility of an alliance against the Jun. My Prince is interested but he would like to hear more. The Mao have always been a thorn in our side and even orchestrated a heinous attack against His Majesty. However, in order to facilitate any joint attack the Prince's armies would need to be readied. We would require funding from Demuon of 500,000 Imperial Sovereigns (100 IP) and the Prince would like the division of all spoils to be equal. ''

The Emperor gave a slight gesture to stay the Deathwatch Guards from moving to kill the minister as he moved closer. Obviously the Prince allowed his subordinates to be overly familiar. It was a little rude but no more than should be expected with foreigners.

"I will agree that a certain amount would be appropriate to help with your expenses in this endeavor. So we will offer you 200,000 Imperial Sovereigns(40 IP) before the campains onset and a furter 100,000 Sovereigns after the close to help recoup any loses and of course your nation will be entitled to an equal share of the conquest."

-- Demuon offers 40 IP to prepare jun's war machine and 20 IP and Region 79 after the war is finished for its aid.

'' But my lord! '' The ambassador protested, his face transfixing into mock horror. '' That sum is not even enough to cover half of our costs. But for 300,000 Sovereigns and an additional sum of 60,000 sovereigns perhaps that would be enough to sway my Prince. ''

The Ambassador counters with a demand of 60 IP / 10 IP the delivery of Region 79

"That seems reasonable enough. We will have the sum prepared before you leave the capital." The Emperor gave a small start as if he had just remembered something."Ah yes before we conclude, I trust you have been informed of Fusan's invasion of Saiko. We plan to openly stand on Saiko's behalf and request that Fusan cease it's unwarranted attack on their sovereignty. We feel it would be best to have you,.. Informed of our stance in this matter before we march against the Mao ruffians."

--The emperor accepts the proposal and informs jun on their stance concerning the Saiko/Fusan war

'' The State of Jun intends to remain neutral in this conflict unless it is provoked by either side, in which case it will intervene with the full might that the Prince can muster. Jun has no wish to quarrel with the Dominion of Demuon if hostilites were to open between Saiko and our fiefdom. '' The diplomat replied cordially.
